Here’s a better picture of my tattoo.
I know I just posted it a few hours ago, but I really didn’t get a chance to go in detail why I got it.
I’ve loved pokemon since I was at least 5 or 6 and I’m 20 now. And I’ve been pondering my first tattoo for over a year. I wanted something that represented strength, but personally felt the word itself was too common. So when I discovered the connection, I was beyond ecstatic.
This tattoo means so much to me. When I look at it, it reminds me of all the people that have given me strength when I needed it most. I have been sexually assaulted, beaten at school and in the apartment complex when I lived in North Jersey, and I was in an abusive relationship for 4 years. And I’m still here. I’m still alive and I’ve never been happier. I learned strength from my friends and family. And I will face whatever life continues to throw at me, one boulder at a time.
